Profile

Megumi Takarada, CFA, is a senior equity analyst and also a manager at the Investment Research Department of Toyo Securities Co., Ltd. She has appeared on the Nikkei CNBC television program and has been featured in the Nikkei newspaper several times. Ms. Takarada has also been featured in The Economist magazine and is known for her unique stock picks. Prior to becoming an analyst, she served as a consultant to companies intending an IPO. Before rejoining Toyo Securities, she was a marketing officer at Merrill Lynch Asset Management and Merrill Lynch International Bank for about five years. She received an MBA from Aoyama Business School, and holds a CMA and CIIA (Certified International Investment Analyst). She has been a member of the board of directors at the CFA Society Japan since 2011 and currently chairs the Membership Committee.
