Peter Douglas, CAIAPrincipal, CAIA SingaporeSingapore ProfilePeter Douglas served on the CAIA Board of Directors from 2006 to 2014. He is an inaugural-cohort CAIA Charter holder, and was the first Charter holder in Singapore. He is the principal and founder of Singapore-based GFIA pte ltd., established in 1998 as a hedge fund consulting firm. Peter was the inaugural Council Member for Singapore and then Asia Pacific, for the Alternative Investment Management Association, and was one of the founders of the Financial Planning Association of Singapore. Prior to founding GFIA, Peter worked for Aberdeen Asset Management Asia in Singapore, after 10 years at the F&C group of asset management companies, in London and Tokyo, latterly in Foreign and Colonial Emerging Markets Limited. Peter holds a BA (Hons) from the University of Exeter and an MBA from INSEAD and has sat on the MBA admissions committee of that school as well as having been secretary of the Singapore alumni association. He is a Singapore Distinguished Fellow in Fund Management, and was voted by aiCIO magazine one of the 25 most influential asset consultants of 2013. |
